Here’s what the service will supposedly offer, according to Engadget’s source:

• Full body and hand gesture control of games / characters.
• In fighting games you kick, punch, duck, dive, jump and so forth with your body.
• It also picks up small hand gestures like pinching, grabbing and scrolling.
• There will also be video conferencing and games with video.
• Trivia game over the internet with live images of each person playing. When a question pops up, they can clap to buzz in.
• You can “move objects on your screen” and the other party can see what you’re doing in real time.
• Sensor detects only the person playing, not folks observing on the couch.

It doesn’t look like this picture has been photoshopped at all and this isnt the first time this rumor has been floating around. Perhaps we will see something at E3

Well for many of us that have had our xbox 360 from the beggining really hated the fact that if you played a trial game that game with 0 gamer score with stay there well now you able to remove it which is awsome. Take a look at the pics.

Bad news for PlayStation 3 owners that were hoping to get Left 4 Dead on the PS3 according to Valve, this isn’t going to happen.

Valve’s Chet Faliszek saild “Many people say that they heard rumors that Left 4 Dead is coming to PS3, however despite telling them this isn’t true they still don’t believe us, what more can we say than it is not.”

Bioshock came out last year for the Xbox 360, and has been played and enjoyed by many since then. This article is for those of you that have not played it, or merely as a reason for all of you fans to pick it up for a second playthrough.

Bioshock is a FPS set in the 1960s in a city at the bottom of the ocean, Rapture. This is possibly one of the most atmospheric settings for a videogame to date, and the setting is very intriguing. The story elements are told both through scattered logs and through radio communications received by your character.

Not only do you get access to conventional weaponry, but you also are able to use plasmid attacks. These plasmids are basically a genetic engineering experiment gone wrong, and will give you a multitude of powers, from lightning to the ability to make enemies fight for you.

Speaking of enemies, this game has some interesting ones, namely the Big Daddies. The main plot of the game has you tracking down the “Little Sisters” to harvest adam from them. This adam can then in turn be spent to upgrade your abilities. That sounds easy enough, but each of these “Little Sisters” is guarded by a Big Daddy, which are quite formidable, especially on the harder difficulty settings.

Overall, this game should not go unplayed by any self-respecting 360 owner–you don’t know what you are missing if you have yet to play this masterpiece. It can be found on amazon for around $27, which is much less than this fabulous game is worth.

That’s right, the demo for Lara Croft’s newest adventure known as Tomb Raider: Underworld will be releasedon tuesday Oct 28th. Now I’ve never been a huge fan of the Tomb Raider series, or much of a fan at all. Yeah I think Lara’s hot and the first Tomb Raider movie with Jolie rocked but I could never get into the video games. The akward controls andterrible A.I. was too much for me to want to play the games. Despite the fact that the past next-gen titles were improvements, receiving better overall scores and the Tomb Raider: Legend demo was fun to play I still looked the other way in the end.

Lara auditioning for lead role in Step 3: Rainy Nights

This time may very well be a different story. After seeing the trailer and gameplay videos, I am interested in the thought of actually buying a Tomb Raider game. The general plot for this title is about Lara’s search for the mythical Thor’s Hammer so that she can carry out her task of killing a GOD. I immediately thought “Woah, Lara wants to tackle a God? Really? I want to kill a God with Thor’s Hammer,” To make this whole concept even more interesting is the consequences of Lara succeeding in finding the hammer and using it.

Yep, the whole end of the world deal.

It is quite obvious that Lara knows this yet she will continue her quest for the hammer and we the gamers well make sure she does. Though this is a cool concept and it hasme even more interested, the developers could have done without giving away the end of the world part. That could have been used as a major plot twist towards the end of game. In the end though knowing about the consequences before you even put the game in the disc tray could work both ways, as long as the rest of the story holds up.

Lara scouts for possible vacation hotspots

Past Tomb Raider titles consisted of climbing, shooting and puzzle solving but they didn’t overlap. The developers claimed to have integrated all of those elements. The game will feature a new combat system which will allow players to use evasive maneuvers and use direct combat when needed. Lara will be able to split up her guns and fire at two different targets or fire with one hand while holding an object in the other. The developers( Crystal Dynamics) aim to make this edition to the series non-linear and get rid of the hint icons. Interactive cutscenes will be replaced with “adrenaline moments”. Players will be in complete control of Lara as time slows down allowing them to get out of harm’s way.

You can expect my hands on report of how the demo plays out on Oct 28th.

Man oh man I remember how excited I was about this game. The concept of controlling your armies with voice command blew my mind. It was the first RTS game I considered buying but as the months rolled by and the list of huge titles like Gears 2, COD5, Prince Of Persia, WWE SVR 2009 scheduled for the fall release kept growing it soon slipped my wishlist. My interest was once again sparked by the info of a Beta available for the game but it soon died once I realized I would have to Preorder the game and I quickly forgot about it.

Imagine my surprise to see the demo for the game available in the XBL Marketplace. I quickly clicked to download. After playing the demo for an hour this game is once again on my wishlist. Ofcourse since it is a demo, only a few options were available. You can either play 1on1 matches against an A.I. opponent or someone over XBL and then you can also play one mission from the campaign.

Selecting the campaign mission will introduce you to the game’s quick tutorial system(which is completely optional by the way)on how the voice command system works. The control scheme is very simple and easy to use. If you want to play without voice control simply select your unit using the D-pad and select whatever orders you wish to give and press the A button.

If you want to order your troops using voice command simply hold down the RT(Right Trigger, lol I know its obvious)and say your orders and release the RT when finished. It’s a simple Who, What and Where system and you don’t have to worry about remembering the commands, for the choices always shop uo on screen when you are giving commands, this is how it works.

Who:
Holding(RT) will bring up the words Unit and deploy, Say the word UNIT and the numbers 1-12 will show up depending on how many units you have on the battlefield. Say the number corresponding with your Unit. You can even command more than one at the same time; Unit 1 & 2.

What:
After calling on your unit different actions will appear.
Attack
Move
Secure
Retreat

Ordering your troops to attack will open more commands to for you to choose who or what is being attacked. For example “Target” or “Hostiles” 1-12.

Where:
Commanding your units to move or to go secure something will bring up the different locations on the map. These locations are uplink bases that need to be secured to help turn the tide of battle.

Okay now I know the explanation was kinda lengthy but it doesn’t take long at all. Once you know the commands you’ll be barking orders like its second nature. Here are examples;

Unit 1 Attack Hostile 4
Unit 2&3 Moved to Bravo
Unit 4 Retreat
Unit 5 Secure Delta

Now as long as speak clearly into the mic your commands will be followed. The voice command system ran smoothly and it gives that feel of being in command as your troops waste no time in following your orders. They respond with there choice of dialogue and do what they’re supposed like good little soldiers. The A.I. performed well I didn’t notice anyone heading the wrong way or walking into building over and over again.

The camera angles do a good job, you can either choose between a close up view of the battle, medium or high. I personally prefer the close range it really puts you into the battle. After selecting which ever unit uyou choose using the D-pad, you can then switch to their camera view by pressing the X button.

The units and commands available in the demo are the riflemen, the engineers, attack choppers, tanks, command vehicles, artillery vehicles and transport vehicles.As you progress a WMD(Weapon Of Mass Destruction) becomes available. Calling in this bad boy is a real treat to watch as enemy units and vehicles are destroyed but becareful because your untis will die too if they are within range. So unless your a heartless bastard I suggest you remember Uncle Ben’s words. “With great power comes great responsiblilty”. Yes I just quoted Spider-man. So use it wisely. Your riflemen units and Engineers are the only one capable of securing the bases and upgrading them to allow you to call in airstrikes, Force Recon or Electronic Warfare. You can also order them to take cover among trees and inside nearby buildings and have them waiting to ambush your enemies. Its a blast to watch the cinematic camera follow your troops popping out of cover and opening fire.

Bottom line this Demo Rocks the action is great to watch and the controls work perfectly. The graphics are pretty good as well. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anyone to play online so I don’t know if it holds up against lag and such but take it from someone who wasn’t into RTS games, play the demo its worth it. If everything holds up in the full game we’ve another reason to stay locked inside this holiday season.
